Box plot

www.physics.csbsju.edu/stats/box2.html

A boxplot is graph that shows groups of numerical data. It shows central location, average, and measures of dispersion. Above is an example of a boxplot.

Histogram

www.leanmanufacturingconcepts.com/LeanTool_TQ...

A Histogram shows tabulated frequencies in order o analyze the variations of data within the intervals of the variables. This histogram is showing defects in distribution weekly.

Parallel coordinate graph

rosuda.org/mondrian/Mondrian.html

A Parallel coordinate graph is a that plots each variable on a vertical axis and is connected by a set of points. They can be used to show different relationships among different variable on the vertical axis plotted. This graph shows the relationships of the the ingredients of olive oil.

Triangular plot

http://addictedtor.free.fr/graphiques/RGraphGallery.php?graph=76

A Triangular plot graphs three different variables that add up to one piece of information. The variable are often some type of terrain and are in a triangle form. This graph shows soil textures defined as proportions of clay, sand, and silt.

Windrose

www.climate.washington.edu/climate.html

A Windrose is a graph typically used by meteorologists to show wind speed and the direction of the wind for a certain area. The graph is circular and shows the wind speeds blowing in certain directions. This Windrose shows wind speeds in Knots in Washington state.

Climograph

www.washburn.edu/.../tfry/Climate%20article.htm

A Climograph is a graph that can give a depiction of the monthly precipitation and temperature conditions for a given area or region. The bar graph shows the precipitation and the line graph shows the temperature. This graph shows precipitation and temperature in Moscow, Russia.

Population profile

camellia.shc.edu/.../statisticsassign.htm

A population profile or population pyramid shows age and sex distributions for a given region. It uses a vertical and horizontal scale to show the percent of population and the age class. This graph is a 1998 Census population graph of Mobile County, Alabama.

Scatterplot

psyc.queensu.ca/~frostlab/sun98.html

A Scatterplot is a line graph that is able to show how strong or weak a certain type of data is relative to another type of data that is being compared. If the dots are close together, the relationship is strong and if the dots are spread out, the relationship is weak. This graph shows the actual breaking point relative to the start of the breaking process in bicycle riders.

Index value plot

www.techmind.org/blog/index.html

An index value plot is a graph that can be visualized and works to compare a historical average, or index value to a certain number of subsequent values. This graph shows stock market trends by using an index value, then showing plotted daily values to ultimately find a trend.

Accumulative line graph or Lorenz curve

www.sarpn.org.za/documents/d0000990

A Lorenz Curve is a graph that is unique in that it gives a worded and graph view of the actual amount of something and the amount of something if it were equally distributed. It uses an x and y axis and is often used for income and poverty. The above graph shows the poverty trends in South Africa.

Bilateral graph

www.msl.ri.cmu.edu/projects/teleop/

A bilateral graph is much like a line graph in the way it is plotted. The main difference is that a bilateral graph can show positive and negative information or data as well. This graph shows the amount of control of the human risk with the use of computers.

nominal area choropleth map

www.leelasstudio.com/html/frenchisee_decesion...

A nominal area choropleth map in which the variables or data shown are only given as nominal data and do not rank or show the data in ordinal form. This map is a map of India and shows the locations of an Indian Company in no particular order.
